Configuring the Client Computers for ICS:

Now you will need to configure your client computers so that they will be able to share your Internet connection with the Host Machine.
Go to one of your clients and insert the Client Configuration Disk that you created into drive A:\ .
2) Go to the Start menu. Choose Run then type in the bar A:\icsclset and click OK (figure 41).

Note: More recent Windows Operating Systems (Windows 2000 and Windows XP) do not offer to create the Client Setup Disk, so you will skip this step and manually make the browser changes.

The browser setup will appear, click Next.
The Wizard will now check the browser settings. Click Next.
In the next window you will get a message. You have completed the Browser Setup Wizard. Click Finish. You will need to repeat these steps for each client computer that you have.

Now you will need to do a Client Configuration check for each Client computer.

If you are not using a Client Setup Disk, start here:

Go to one of the Client machines. Right click on Network Neighborhood choose Properties. Now make sure you are on the Configuration tab. Look for TCP\IP that is associated with your network card (adapter); highlight, then choose Properties. (Figure 42)

Now you will have a screen with 7 tabs. Click the WINS Configuration tab and select the check box next to Disable Wins Resolution if it isn't already selected. (figure 43)
