Wiring the Module:

(Figure 26) is a top view of what the module looks like.

Now you need to seat each wire in the correct slot that corresponds with color code below the slot. Make sure you DO NOT untwist more that 1/2" of the twisted pairs. (figure 27)

Now seat the wires firmly down in the slot preferably with the tool designed for this. If you use anything else to seat the wires make sure you are careful not to damage the wire or the metal piece in each slot that cuts through the insulation of the wire. After you have seated the wire, cut off the excess wire, on the outside of the module, as close as possible to leave the minimum amount of excess. (figure 28)

Figure 29 shows a particular brand of module that has a cap covering the wiring.

With the wiring completed the module is connected to the cable and you are ready to install the cover plate. (figure 30)
